Precognition/ Vorkenntnisse
- Completion of VMware vSphere: Install, Configure, Manage (VICM) or equivalent experience
- Basic knowledge of disaster recovery concepts
- Basic knowledge of storage array technology
Learning Target/ Lernziele
This two-day, hands-on training course equips experienced VMware vSphere® administrators with the knowledge to install, configure, and manage VMware® vCenter™ Site Recovery Manager™ 5.5. This course also equips vSphere administrators with the knowledge to assist in writing and testing disaster recovery plans that use vCenter Site Recovery Manager.
By the end of the course, you should have an understanding of the functionality in vCenter Site Recovery Manager 5.5 and be able to do the following:
- Install vCenter Site Recovery Manager 5.5
- Understand the storage replication options
- Deploy and configure VMware vSphere® Replication
- Configure inventory and resource mappings
- Build protection groups based on vSphere Replication
- Create, edit, execute, and test a recovery plan
- Perform a planned migration
- Perform a reprotect and a failback
