Course description:
You know your way around the IT world and are now entering the IT security world of Check Point. This course will teach you the basic operation of the Check Point firewall. Together we will install a gateway and create the first rules.
Target group:
Firewall, network and system administrators starting to work with Check Point.
Previous knowledge:
Good knowledge of the Windows or Linux operating system.
Very good network knowledge, basic knowledge of VMware workstation.
Program content:
- What is a firewall?
- Basic mode of operation and interaction of the basic components, product components and possible combinations of the modules OPSEC architecture, integration, products, etc.
- Installing the software (SmartCenter R81.X, Gateway R81.X)
- The Smart Console and other tools
- Create a simple set of rules.
Methodology:
Lecture with extensive practical exercises.
